Join me on Saturday, April 18th for a fun layout class that puts the spotlight on celebrating our unique personalities. These layouts will equally suit highlighting formal or simply silly moments in our lives. Show off your personality, tell your story, and celebrate life!

The delightful FANCY FREE collection, designed by Paige Evans, forms the foundation to these layouts. Participants will complete 1 double and 2 single scrapbook layouts, and will have plenty of paper left over to develop further layouts. Your kit will also include multiple die cuts, DMC floss and embellishments to complement your pages.

Fancy Free Paper Pad

Techniques used in this class will help you create dimension and texture to add layers and interest to your work. Try your hand at a little stitching to create a fun title; develop attention with angles and embellishments; direct focus and interest with subtle layering; and utilize large die cuts and journaling to create balance.

Here are some sneak peeks of the layouts in this class:

ScrapFest – Fall 2019!

I’m very excited to return to ScrapFest this Fall at their “Exclusive” event in St. Catherines, ON! It’s been Christmas in July on my crafty workspace, while I created a Holiday Themed Album to display your favourite seasonal memories. The finished album is full of beautiful holiday themed electronic die cut files, embellishments and hidden pockets/envelopes for special pictures and/or messages.

You album is housed in an 8 & 1/2″ x 11″ burlap album. Just perfect for the rustic papers in the American Crafts “Hot Cocoa” paper pad that forms the foundation of your album.

Front of Album

You will build an album full of textures and techniques. A truly special gift that will display your holiday memories for years to come. Enjoy a few more “sneak peaks” – and follow the ScrapFest website for upcoming details on registration for this fun paper crafting event and classes this October! http://www.scrapfest.ca

ScrapFest Kitchener – It’s a Wrap!

What a great weekend at ScrapFest! Fun, fun, fun from beginning to end. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and delightful to meet so many new crafting friends! I was privileged to teach a class on Saturday morning with 20 enthusiastic crafters – from those just beginning to learn, to those who’ve enjoyed scrapbooking and card marking for many years. Thank you all for joining me and positively participating for 3 hours of fun! You are all very talented ladies, and I appreciated learning some new tricks and tips from you as well.

I love this class shot showing off the fruits of your hard work on the “Dear, sweet wonderful YOU” butterfly page!

DEAR, SWEET, WONDERFUL YOU

The two page layout for this class involved several techniques that included hand stitching for added texture and creating a felt bow.

Happy Birthday

We transferred the techniques in these layouts to 3 cards showing participants how to stretch their crafting supplies between the two.

My deepest thanks to my best friend Denise and my beautiful niece Brooke, who both worked by my side on Saturday morning to help make the class run as smoothly as possible – you two are the BEST!

To round out the weekend I also enjoyed lots of personal cropping time in the GIGANTIC crop of 315 fellow crafters. If you weren’t there, just imagine a hockey rink full of croppers and all their treasured crafting goodies! The Marketplace filled the second hockey rink and offered everything a crafter could ever want for their next project…or two…or more! I might have done a bit of shopping myself (but let’s keep that just between you and me)!

Another treasure of ScrapFest was seeing old friends who share the passion of crafting. It was truly wonderful to catch up with each other and also get some AMAZING hugs as well. So make some plans to attend a future ScrapFest event. You will leave truly inspired by some very talented fellow crafters! Check out the list of events at scrapfest.ca.
